A first for Central Arizona shotgun athletes: The Arizona Senior Olympic Games for Sporting Clays will be on Sunday, December 8th at Picacho Sporting Clays, located at 6185 E. Baumgartner Rd., Eloy, AZ 85131. Open to

anyone over 50, regardless of residency, this clay target sports venue will consist of a 100-target competition that is a fun shoot format, not a National Sporting Clays Association (NSCA) event. However, this event will

follow the rules of a NSCA tournament. Medals are awarded per 5-year age group increments, e.g. 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, etc. Age is determined by competitor's age on 12/31/2019.

Tournament registrations open at 7:45 AM; Competition starts at 9 AM. For early registrations and squadding, contact Sharon Remillong: Email: seremillong@gmail.com; or Text or call (520) 750-8333. Fee is $60. Lunch

will be available onsite at an optional fee.

The Arizona Senior Olympics (ASO) is a program of the Arizona Lifelong Fitness Foundation, a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting fitness programs and activities that will keep the person in the second half of life physically, mentally and socially active and fit. ASO is Arizona's leader in senior fitness, and their mission is "Fitness after 50," regardless of whether you are just beginning or you have been active all your life.

ASO is also looking for volunteers to assist with the one of 32 sports offerings and workshops, so for those whom might be timid about competing (or too young), you will be welcome to help in other ways. For more

information, please contact Executive Director, Irene Stillwell, at 602-274-7742. Follow ASO on Facebook and Twitter.

Thank you!

ASO Commissioner, Clay Target Sports
