Coyotes Curling Club Hope For Dedicated Facility

Plans are underway for the first one of its kind in Arizona.

January 15, 2013

Dear Editor,

The Coyotes Curling Club has been in business for over eight years and has been built on a solid foundation of membership enthusiasm, dedication, and spirit of volunteerism. Our club’s mission is to Promote access to and participation in the sport of curling, and commit to its international traditions of fellowship, sportsmanship, and team competition.

The club is experiencing record interest and is generating year-after- year membership growth. We are happy to report that the organization has proven to be a viable and flourishing sports option in the Greater Phoenix area, and as a result, has outgrown ice availability at its current venue.

Due to this, the Coyotes Curling Club is committed to found our own dedicated curling facility, the first of its kind here in Arizona.

We project that in a dedicated curling facility, the Coyotes Curling Club will have 300 members to support four sheets of ice by the end of its first year. It will allow us to provide for programs that attract participants of all socio-economic, age, gender, generational, and ability ranges with leagues designed for youth and teens, seniors, young professionals, the disadvantaged, and physically challenged. Future Olympians will train here.

A dedicated ice facility will position the Coyotes Curling Club to host national and international competitions at the elite level and to be the club of choice in the United States Curling Association Mountain Pacific region which includes the states of Oregon, California, Nevada, Idaho, Utah, and Arizona.

The Coyotes Curling Club is offering a first of kind opportunity to be apart of the curling legacy in Arizona through tax deductible donations and gifts. Through continued efforts of past and present club members, the Coyotes Curling Club has already raised $400,000 towards this capital campaign. Our 501(c)3 organization is currently seeking an additional $500,000 in support of this capital project with a detailed business plan and experienced board of directors to guide this effort.

Since its inception, the organization has received amazing interest and support from the business community and local area residents, now we are looking to persons/trusts/corporations with renowned histories of innovation, success, and philanthropy.

The beauty of our project is that it has both present and sustainable future benefits. In the short term, it will grow club membership and promote competitive excellence at all levels. In the long term, it will positively influence the community by promoting social integration, teamwork, and interest in physical activity regardless of age or ability.

To request a copy of our ‘Project Fact Sheet’ and ‘Definition of the Market’ from our business plan that further define our efforts, please email CarolAnn Naso at carolann@coyotescurling.com or Greg Gallagher at greggallagher@coyotescurling.com.

Thank you for your consideration.

Sincerely,

The Coyotes Curling Club
