Tucson photographer Rhonda Spencer didn't know she was making a winning image when she took a photo of two lowland leopard frogs. Spencer, who enjoys photographing all wildlife, just thinks these frogs are "amazing." Several winter recreation sites near Roosevelt closed for the winter starting on Nov. 15. Davis Wash and Upper Burnt Corral will remain until March 1, 2016. Bermuda Flat also closed on Nov. 15, and it will re-open on February 16, 2016. This closure occurs annually, to protect the wintering goose population. Seasonal reductions in services at some developed recreation sites on the Mesa Ranger District are now in effect through April 14, 2016. Ed Huntsman took this shot six years ago walking up to Havasupai Falls from the Colorado River in the bottom of the Grand Canyon.
