AZGFD Hosting "Turtles of Arizona"

The Arizona Game and Fish Department is pleased to be hosting the popular "Turtles of Arizona" educator workshop again this year.

And registration is open now!

In this workshop designed specifically for education professionals, participants will learn all about some of the

state's native turtles and tortoises as well as some of the research and management the Department is doing to better understand and protect these species. In addition, participants will have the opportunity to work with Department biologists on the outreach and data collection during a non-native turtle removal project.

The workshop takes place in the Phoenix area. The classroom portion will be Friday evening, May 17 and the field portion will be Saturday, May 18. The workshop is free but space is limited.
