Times Spent Outdoors: Priceless!
Public comment accepted through June 13.
PHOENIX - The Arizona Game and Fish Department (AZGFD) is beginning the rulemaking process to amend its Article 2 rules (licenses; permits; stamps; tags) to implement the recommendations made in the recent five-year review report.
The amendments proposed in the five-year review report are designed to increase the effectiveness of the rules to meet the department's mission, ensure consistency with state and federal statutes, and to increase the clarity of the existing rules.
Except for the amendments proposed for the guide license rule, AZGFD does not believe any of the proposed changes will increase the regulatory burden beyond that which is already required, and will instead serve the goal of simplifying processes, increasing the understandability of the rules, and increasing public accessibility for department services.
As a result of comments received in response to this notice, and after further evaluation and analysis of the original recommendations, it may be necessary to alter the original recommendation or amend other rules as part of the Article 2 rulemaking. If they occur, these changes will be included in the proposed rulemaking and the public will be afforded an opportunity to comment on the amended rules.
The department will accept written comments regarding the definitions and general provisions rules for 30 days, ending on June 13, 2024.
