Havasu's 'Hostess' Invites You

December 1, 2021

Jillian Danielson, publisher of RiverScene magazine.

Dixie Belle, the official "hostess" for Lake Havasu City, would be happy to have you aboard during the holidays. In fact, a ticket to get a tour on the lady would make an excellent Christmas gift, or a party on her decks would be a perfect way to celebrate the holidays. Dixie Belle, originally built in 1983, is a replica of an 1800's paddle wheeler. She has recently undergone a 10-year restoration project and is opening for business late November/ early December 2021. She's a beauty, just waiting to welcome you!

The holidays are definitely filled with gifts for us in the Southwest: the traditional and beautiful lighted-boat parades, an invitation from our national parks to cut your own Christmas tree, ideas for giving for the outdoor folks on your list, even nautically themed Christmas cards for the boaters among us.

However you celebrate this month -reliving holiday memories from your past, celebrating here or away, enjoying the thrill of gift-giving - we at Arizona Boating & Watersports/Western Outdoor Times are also remembering and honoring the true meaning of Christmas and are forever greatful for the most wonderful gift of all.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
