Our Kitchen Manager Carol Nelson prepares delicious and very reasonably priced meals three days a week.

We hope our neighbors will join us at VFW Post 3513 for great eating with good company. All are welcome (although anyone not a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) and its Auxiliary, the American Legion, or Disabled American Vets (DAV), may need to be signed in as a guest).

A very important note besides your enjoyment of great dining is that the cost of your meal goes directly to the Post to support our veterans.

Following is a look at some of the delicious meals served three days a week at the Post:

Brunch Is Served 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. every Sunday.

· Brunch, for $8.00, includes eggs to order or omelet with choice of ham or bacon, peppers, onions or mushrooms and cheese. Also available is this combination: Potatoes O'Brien, ham, bacon or sausage, biscuits and gravy, white or wheat toast or English muffin and fresh fruit.

· Brunch special dishes may include waffles, French toast, pancakes, Huevos Rancheros, etc.

· A la carte is also available and includes either two eggs to order with biscuits and gravy for $5.00 or two eggs to order, potatoes, choice of meat and choice of bread for $6.00.

Wednesday Meals Are $7.00.

This meal includes fresh green salad, roll or garlic toast and dessert. Entrée is Chef's Choice and often features such delicious entrés as spaghetti with meat sauce, beef tacos or chicken fajitas, turkey and dressing, barbecued chicken with macaroni and cheese. These are just samples of the wonderful fare you will find on Wednesdays from 5-7 p.m.

The Friday Meal Is All About The Cod fish.

This fish is available with a beer batter or baked with herb butter and citrus or baked with a delicious Parmesan crust. We also offer panko-crusted shrimp or crispy chicken fingers. Combination plates are available for all the fried entrees. Meals include choice of French fries or baked potato, fresh cole slaw and dessert. Friday meals are $9.

Home-Baked Desserts

Members of the VFW Auxiliary offer a sweet touch to finish your meal. They bake desserts each week to accompany the Wednesday and Friday night dinners.

Special Meals, Potlucks

These vary and are scheduled by the Post or Auxiliary and will be shown on a monthly calendar that is posted near the cantina.
