Instrument Suite Offers New Level Of Adaptability

Whether OEM, custom boatbuilder or DIYer, installing instrumentation can be a challenge. With OceanLink™ from Veratron, it's easy to connect and monitor multiple vessel and engine analog/digital inputs and share data with other devices via NMEA2000.

OceanLink is a modular concept that offers flexibility in designing a vessel's monitoring system. An integrated NMEA2000 gateway acquires engine data from SAE J1939, NMEA2000 or analog input signal, converts them and distributes to the network for display.

Each OceanLink device is an information powerhouse. Devices are programmed directly within the unit.

Three master instruments function as the centerpiece of the OceanLink system: a 7" TFT display screen, a 4.3" version or one of the many 85mm round gauges. Units follow the same wiring and architecture strategy. Their robust designs are IPX7-rated front and rear, completely sealed against dust and highly water-resistant.

The best-in-class 7" OceanLink TFT screen tames large amounts of complex data. Easily configured to display information from up to four engines when connected to NMEA2000, or two engines via J1939 or analog inputs simultaneously, it has 10 available reconfigurable content pages. This allows users to group similar items such as single or dual engines, fuel, water, waste, tank level, rudder and trim, onboard systems, navigation and weather, if desired. The device has an integrated light sensor that adjusts for easy reading without eye strain, no matter how bright or dark the conditions.

With the same outstanding features, the slightly smaller 4.3" OceanLink TFT screen can display up to four engines when connected to NMEA200, or one engine via J1939 or analog inputs. Ten pages provide for the simplification of data. A 2.2" TFT will be available in Fall 2020.

With classic styling and VDO Marine DNA, OceanLink 85mm round gauges are ideal for refit or new build. With easy-to-read analog needles, the tachometer and GPS also have LCD displays and single push button control. Additionally, five matching navigation and weather models are offered. They're available with black or white faces with chrome, black or white bezels. They daisy-chain together for simple installation.

Launched in 2019, Veratron US is the North American office for Veratron AG. It offers analog and digital marine sensors and displays marketed as VDO Marine and Veratron.
