Join educators from the Arizona Game and Fish Department as we explore the science, management and recreation of Arizona's aquatic communities. In this two-day workshop, which conveniently occurs during Fall Break for many teachers, you will learn how macroinvertebrates can be an indicator for stream health, visit a

fish hatchery, try your hand at fly fishing and so much more.

Participants will receive access to numerous resources and activities for their classroom.

This workshop will take place on Wednesday, October 9 in north Phoenix and Thursday, October 10 at the Page Springs fish hatchery and Dead Horse Ranch State Park.

Still time for the unlovables!

Did you miss the first webinar in our exciting unlovables series?

Well, not to worry, we still have two opportunities for you to learn a little more about some of our less appreciated wildlife.

They are sometimes called the unlovables. A variety of animals that people find incredibly difficult to love. Maybe it is the way they look or how they behave. Maybe it is just misconceptions. Whatever the reason, many people don't like them.

The Arizona Game and Fish Department invites educators of all types to join us as we take a look at two of these hard-to-love animals: bats and vultures. In this unique workshop series, educators will have the opportunity to learn the natural history of these animals in an effort to dispel myths and misunderstandings about them. We will highlight engaging classroom activities that will help you share this information

with your students.

There are two workshops remaining in this series: one webinar focused on vultures and a viewing event featuring both bats and vultures. You can participate one or both of these programs depending on your interests and schedule.

These workshops are FREE. Registration is required. For more information and to register, visit https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSe85hXqGWSXfeoKmXNwYTNRjW4Cbfo_7igfH_BEkYjNnpVZkQ/viewform .

But hurry. Both programs occur this week!
