Times Spent Outdoors: Priceless!
Where's The Hunter-Harvest Survey?
Arizona hunters who were successful in the 2018 draws probably noticed some formatting changes to their mailed hunt permit-tags — one of those is that the hunter-harvest survey now is found on the back.
On the back side of the top half of the perforated mailing (upper right corner) is a hunter-harvest survey. The Arizona Game and Fish Department no longer will be mailing a separate hunter-harvest survey postcard.
A hunter can visit https://www.azgfd.com/Hunting/Questionnaires, or scan a QR code with his or her smart phone, to complete the hunter-harvest survey. The hunt number and hunt permit-tag number are required. For those who might not have online access, a phone number also is provided: (623) 236-7734.
All hunters who received a hunt permit-tag to pursue deer, pronghorn, elk, turkey or javelina in 2018 (whether successful or not) are encouraged to submit a hunter-harvest survey now by visiting https://www.azgfd.com/Hunting/Questionnaires. The information provided is critical to estimating total harvest numbers for each species and lays the groundwork for next year’s hunt permit-tag allocations.
The department appreciates each hunter who takes part in this important contribution to the management of big game species in Arizona. For more information, call (602) 942-3000.
