If it flies, floats or rolls, you're going to see it in Lake Havasu City this fall as the resort destination on the Colorado River, just south of Las Vegas, prepares to welcome thousands of returning visitors for the winter season. The summer heat has dissipated, making the city the perfect location for people to "take a break by the lake," enjoying one of the city's four signature fall events.

* JetSkis Race, Sept. 29 to Oct. 7, 2018 - There's a reason Lake Havasu City has been nicknamed the "Personal Watercraft Capital of the World." On Sept. 29 to Oct. 7, the International Jet Sports Boating Association (IJSBA) comes to Crazy Horse Campgrounds for the 2018 IJSBA Blowsion World Finals.

These high performance watercraft competitions are a mix of human athleticism and human innovation in engineering durable but powerful watercraft. Over 750 of the world's best personal watercraft racers are expected to attend. Spectators are free.

* Cars Pace, Oct. 17 to 21, 2018 - Relics & Rods Car Club's 41st Annual Run to the Sun Car Show is one of the largest car shows in The Southwest. Last year's show attracted over 750 vehicles from across the country, consisting of 1972 and older cars and trucks.

The schedule this year includes a Cruise Night, Show & Shine, fashion show, dinner dance, pancake breakfast, and parade. Bridgewater Links at London Bridge Resort. Admission is $8 for one day, $12 for two.

* Planes Chase, Oct. 27, 2018 - The Hangar 24 AirFest & 2nd Anniversary aerobatic air show and beer festival at the Lake Havasu City Airport (HII) will feature an appearance from a B-17 "Flying Fortress" for attendees not only to board and tour, but also enjoy short flights over Lake Havasu City.

The aircraft is one of just eight still in flight today of the 12,731 originally built. Other aircraft on display include bi-planes and an A-10 Warthog from Davis-Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson. General admission: $17.

* RVs Grace, Nov. 17-18, 2018 - Paddlecraft, powerboats, off-road vehicles, trucks, sand rails, ATVs, UTVs, 4x4s, buggies, golf carts, motorcycles, electric vehicles, mobility scooters, toy haulers, travel trailers, fifth wheels, power boats, pontoons, personal watercraft, kayaks, paddleboards, bicycles and RVs will grace Lake Havasu State Park (Windsor 4) when the 7th Annual Sand-Water-RV Expo comes to town.
