(Phoenix, Arizona - March 9, 2016) - Imagine your next camping trip...waking up from a good night sleep on a comfortable bed, you walk out the front door onto the porch and breathe the fresh cool morning air while the sun warms your face. As you look out across the placid lake, birds sing gleefully around you. Welcome to the camping cabin, Arizona State Parks' version of glamping!

Arizona's state parks provide perfect destinations for family camping adventures without the need for a RV or tent. Nice cozy camping cabins are currently available at Roper Lake State Park in Safford, AZ, Dead Horse Ranch State Park in Cottonwood, AZ, and new cabins at Lyman Lake State Park near St. Johns, AZ are now available. Alamo Lake near Wenden, AZ will have newly built cabins available to stay in starting April 1st.

The new cabins at Lyman Lake feature two rooms, a full size bed in the front room and bunk beds in the back room. Two-room cabins also line the lake at Roper Lake State Park, which offers a plethora of recreational opportunities, including swimming. One-room camping cabins available at Dead Horse Ranch State Park are tucked away from the other campgrounds and make an ideal getaway for couples and groups.

Cabins are furnished with the following (campers supply their own linens):
