Times Spent Outdoors: Priceless!

TowBoatUS Catalina Takes Tower Of The Year Honors

A local company that that helps boaters get safely home was singled out for its professionalism at the BoatUS Towing Services Annual Conference recently held in Jupiter, Fla. "Tower of the Year" honors went to TowBoatUS Catalina, which is owned and operated by Captains Nathan Lins, Jordan Lake and Greg Dreischmeyer.

The company, a familiar site in Avalon Harbor and Catalina Island waters with three red response vessels, was recognized for its near perfect 24-hour towing dispatch operation, superior customer service and satisfaction, towing case management, and its work in the local boating community.

Much like an auto club for boaters, TowBoatUS gives recreational boaters and anglers a reliable way to summon routine assistance when their boats break down on the water, run out of gas, or run aground.

Formerly known as Vessel Assist Catalina, the red towboats in all of the former West Coast Vessel Assist locations in California, Arizona, Oregon, Washington, Hawaii, and British Columbia, Canada, were recently rebranded "TowBoatUS".

The move recognizes TowBoatUS' standing as North America's largest provider of on-water assistance with over 300 locations and 600 towing response vessels. Other than the name change, boaters can still see the same familiar BoatUS buoy logo on the hull and professional captains at the helm.

TowBoatUS Catalina can be hailed on VHF channel 16 or reached by calling the BoatUS toll-free 24/7 Dispatch Center at (800) 391-4869. More information can be found at BoatUS.com/towing or call (800) 888-4869.
