Times Spent Outdoors: Priceless!
Let's Continue Laurie's Dream
Editor's Note: We were honored to have worked with Laurie when our uncle had to give up his home and his two dogs. Laurie and Brad Beauchamp at Fur & Feather in Pie Town, N.M., gave homes to Shadow and Puppy, and they lived very happily there in the Pie Town sanctuary. In honor and memory of Laurie, we will continue to run some items about Fur & Feather, including this list of just three of their adoptable (at press time) dogs. Please continue to check their site http://www.furandfeather.org for ways to adopt and/or to help this wonderful animal sanctuary.
Eagle
Eagle is a very special boy.Though he is still timid, once he warms up to you, he will be your best friend. We think he may be part Irish setter and possible Chow mix. He is good with other dogs and seems to be fine with cats. He has a silly and playful demeanor and would make the right person very happy. He is definitely ready for his forever home
Benny
This is a great dude. He is pretty high energy, and very smart. He is a quick learner, and does best when it is one on one with his person. He would be a great dog for an outdoorsy type, or a candidate for agility. We think he is a heeler cross. Benny is ready for his forever home.
Tank
This little guy is so cool. He is a dachshund Staffordshire terrier cross. He gets along with everyone. He is medium to high energy, and will be a very loyal friend. He is good with children and cats. Tank is fairly new here and catches on pretty quickly. I think he would make someone very happy.
New Workshop For Brad
Brad is happy about his new workshop remodel. Though it has been hard for Brad with his Laurie gone, he is moving forward, and keeping busy with projects around Fur and Feather. He has his good and bad days as can be expected. We have a small but good support group.
Future Projects
Laurie's plans continue, and these are three of the next projects:
• New cat room
• Exam/clean room with washer and dryer
• Dog-washing station
