Arizona State Parks Offers Annual Pass to Veterans

(Phoenix, AZ - November 3, 2015) - Join us on Veteran's Day 2015 at an Arizona State

Park or nearby community in honoring and thanking those who serve! Learn about our free annual pass for 100% Disabled Veteran's and our 50% off annual pass for disabled veterans, retired and active duty servicemen and start enjoying the beauty of Arizona's open spaces.

Create your adventure in an Arizona State Park where you'll find 1,400 campsites and 81 trails with 124 miles of hiking for the whole family. Parks are an economical opportunity to get outdoors and create memories with your loved ones. Many State Parks are only an hour or more from urban areas where you can fish, camp, boat, or explore the history of Arizona. Where will you spend your Veteran's Day holiday?

fort verde State Historic Park - Camp Verde - November 11 - Veterans Day Memorial Service - Bring your flags to be retired and take a moment to pay tribute to those who gave their lives serving our country and for those who continue to serve.

Lake Havasu State Park - Lake Havasu City - November 10-11 - Veteran's Fishing Classic - Veterans and war heroes are celebrated at the 2015 Lake Havasu Veterans Fishing Classic.

Lake Havasu State Park - Lake Havasu City - November 11 - Veteran's Day Parade - Come to the parade on McCullough Blvd in the Downtown District and honor our local veterans for their patriotism, love of country, and willingness to serve and sacrifice for the common good.

Yuma Quartermaster Depot State Historic Park - Yuma - November 11 - Veteran's Day Parade - Join our community as we take time to honor and celebrate the service of all US Military members. Parade begins at 9 am at the Yuma Mesa Shopping Center and heads south down 4th Avenue.

The Arizona State Parks Veteran Discount Program provides the following:

50% day-use discount to all active duty, guard and reserve military Veterans

50% day-use discount to all Arizona-resident (AZ Driver's License address) retired military Veterans

50% day-use discount to all Service Disabled (10%-90% or 100% Individual Un-employability), Arizona-resident (AZ Driver's License address) Veterans

FREE day-use pass to all 100% Service Connected Disabled Arizona-resident (AZ Driver's License address) Veterans

To receive the pass, Veterans should bring their documentation or current Military ID to a park Visitor Center and request a Veterans Discount Program pass. Pass expires 2 years from date of issue. For more information call (602) 542-4174 or visit AZStateParks.com.
