Wallace Winners

Saguaro Lake Cats

November 1, 2015

Mike Wallace

Mike Wallace reports that these cats were caught at Saguaro Lake while he was night fishing from shore with his son Aaron. Wallace says, " Most people this time of year have racked the poles, but fishing is still very good! " He used lighter tackle then most, a medium-action 5-foot bass rod with 8-pound test. According to Wallace, "Long soaks and patience are the best tools we have, and for me, the best part, as usual, is hanging out with one of my boys!" He continues, "Life for every one I know is less than easy, but I am fortunate that I realized many years ago that things like fishing/ hunting/ in the outdoors ( the most amazing place to be with your kids) [make life good.] Movies, ball games, etc., are all [fine], but the conversation is better and more meaningful on the bank of a shore in the calm of a cool night. [It doesn't get any better than] just hanging with my kid where slurping carp, coyotes and an occasional bent pole are the only distractions."
