Lost Our Home Founder/CEO

Jodi Polanski Named Business Woman Of The Year

August 1, 2015

The Tempe Chamber of Commerce recently awarded Jodi Polanski the title of 2015 Business Woman of The Year. Ms. Polanski is Founder & CEO of Lost Our Home Pet Rescue, an animal rescue organization founded in 2008 as a grassroots response to the thousands of pets in need as a result of the economic downturn.

"What's most exciting about receiving this award is that it will help get the word out about the rescue so we can make a bigger impact in our community," stated Polanski.

Lost Our Home Pet Rescue is a no-kill pet shelter located in Tempe, Ariz. Located at 2323 S. Hardy Dr. in Tempe, the shelter offers a number of unique services to families, including a Pet Food Bank, a Temporary Pet Care Program for families in crisis, and Low Income Pet Boarding.

Lost Our Home Rescue has the unique distinction of housing a Temporary Pet Care program at Sojourner Center, the largest domestic violence shelter in AZ. This allows families fleeing domestic violence to keep their pets on site with them.

Since 2008, Lost Our Home Rescue has taken in more than 3,300 cats and dogs, found new adoptive homes for more than 2,500 of them, and returned nearly 370 to their owners.

"The Business Woman of the Year award recognizes the valuable contributions that the candidates have made to the business community and to the Tempe Chamber of Commerce. Their hard work and dedication have made an admirable and positive impact that we are proud to recognize," said Mary Ann Miller, president and CEO of the Tempe Chamber.
