Outstanding Outdoorsmen Join Our Crew

Western Outdoor Times/Arizona BOATING & Watersports welcomes two new editors, Don McDowell and John ("JK") Koleszar, to their staff. McDowell, renowned fresh and saltwater angler and host of Shake, Rattle & Troll radio, will be sharing his fishing expertise as the new Fishing Editor.
Koleszar, co-host of SR&T, and an experienced, avid sportsman, will offer comments on and insight into issues of western outdoors activities and concerns as the new Special Features Editor. We are delighted to have them on board!
At press time, we were able to publish an abridged bio for McDowell and will include more on Koleszar in our next issue.
Host of "Shake, Rattle and Troll" Outdoor Radio, which is the longest-running Arizona outdoor talk radio program. On air "Live" presence going into our 15th year, Arizona's exclusive fishing, BOATING and hunting show, focusing our local and national fishing tournament, recreational and seasonal multi species fishing, both fresh and salt water, hunting multi species with archery and firearms. Promoting the use of the outdoors consistant with the North American Model of conservation, recruitment and retention of stake holders.
SRT's listening audience ¼ share as of 2014 has increased to 88,000-101,000 listeners. With the advent of the new website format, pertinent segments, interviews, video and editorials are posted for national consumption and the new watch and listen "live" video streaming and Pod Cast has been a huge advantage to increase impressions and listenership.
"Shake, Rattle and Troll" has been awarded 2012/14 AZ Game And Fish Department Commission's Media of the Year Award.

At press time, we could not do justice to the vital part this man plays in the sphere of western outdoor activities and look forward to providing more background in a future issue. Suffice to say that this co-host of Shake, Rattle & Troll radio has gained the respect of hunters, anglers, conservationists, and outdoor enthusiasts throughout the West and beyond.
His knowledge of and commitment to Wildlife, the environment, safety, conservation, hunting, fishing, and all aspects of outdoor recreation are sincere and well-researched, both through experience and study.
