PHOENIX – A public meeting of the Arizona Game and Fish Commission will be conducted Friday and Saturday at the Arizona Game and Fish Department, 5000 W. Carefree Highway in Phoenix.

The meeting will begin at 8 a.m. Friday with a call to the public. Items on Friday’s agenda include:

• Request for approval of several consent agenda items, including renewal of intergovernmental agreements with Casa Grande, Glendale, Youngtown and Maricopa to continue the Community Fishing Program for the next four fiscal years, and a request for the commission to designate and amend Commission Order 40 on new community fishing waters in Casa Grande and Youngtown.

• Update on state and federal legislative action.

• Update on the Customer Portal (website with Customer Login capabilities with improved customer access to information, products and services).

• Briefing on development of a statewide outreach plan to increase public awareness of the department, its mission, and how it is funded.

• A general Mexican wolf briefing.

Other items on Friday’s agenda include request for approval of Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) with various entities, and hearings on 13 license revocation cases (time certain at 2 p.m.) involving violations of Game and Fish codes.

The meeting will resume at 8 a.m. Saturday with a call to the public, followed by consideration of several agenda items, including:

• Approval of proposed commission orders for deer, turkey, javelina, bighorn sheep, buffalo, bear and mountain lion, predatory and furbearing mammals, as well as population management hunts, for the 2015-2016 season. The commission orders establish seasons and season dates, bag and possession limits, hunt-permit numbers, open areas and other specifications.

• Approval of the hunt permit-tag application schedule for 2015 fall hunts.
