May 1st was the Pre-fish party and seminar at the Bali Hai – Biggest opening party yet. The Cousins Rod

was won by a Lady Derby Angler, Miss Kaalin Haskett. May 4 at 10 am, Jennifer Nakatani,

2014 Miss Yellowtail Derby cut the ceremonial ribbon at the Shelter Island Ramp, signifying the start of the 6th

Annual Yellowtail Derby.

***Important to Remember*** Weekends are Special, The largest Yellowtail or if none caught than the

largest of either White Seabass or Halibut, will receive a Special Prize. So, even if you caught a 15 or 18 pound

yellowtail, have it weighed and send the weigh slip in.

The 2014 Yellowtail Derby will be fished from May 4 to June 7, 35 days of Fish'n. Recreational anglers can

fish one day or as many days as they wish, but the biggest fish wins. This year, besides Yellowtail, there will

be prizes for White Seabass and Halibut.
