Western Outdoor Times - Times Spent Outdoors: Priceless!

At an inspiring ceremony in Casa Grande, Ariz., on May 9, Chief Berger of Central Arizona Valley Institute of Technology (CAVIT), presided over promotions given to young firefighter cadets.

Promotions included those to Firefighter, Engineer, Captain, and Battalion Chief. Proud father Paul Haws, grandparents Pert Fuller and Jim and Carol Allen, aunt Chelle Brookes, and friends Haylie and Janean Jesch celebrated Kelsee Pearl Haws' achievement of Captain.

Her late mother (Lisa Brookes-Haws, Oct. 31, 1964-Dec. 20, 2013) was a retired Firefighter/EMT and 911 Dispatcher. Needless to say, Kelsee is following in her mother's footsteps, and we could feel Lisa's presence and pride during the evening.

The moments of joy and memory we all shared were especially appropriate for a Mother's Day weekend.
