Public Service Announcement for the SSV Oliver Hazard Perry’s teen camps to be held in August? Though the ship represents Rhode Island as the state’s official Sailing Education Vessel, the camps are for young people from across the country and around the world. As well, adult camps, with courses for navigation and meteorology, are scheduled for September, and a PSA for these is available also, on request.

With your help, we can change lives with this Tall Ship experience. Along with learning challenging new mental skills, participants will physically take part in sailing the ship, taking the helm, standing watch and working to handle the 14,000 square feet of sail that grace the ship’s three square-rigged masts. Participants in Tall Ships adventures gain confidence, learn new skills and become productive citizens of the broader world.
