ODFW Hosts 2nd Round of Public Meetings on the 2014 Pacific Halibut Seasons
The Pacific Fisheries Management Council has narrowed down the options for proposed changes to the 2014 Pacific Halibut Fishery, and has asked for additional public comment on those options.
Therefore, ODFW will be hosting two public meetings beginning at 7 pm both evenings.
Tuesday, September 24 in Newport at the Holiday Inn Express, 135 SE 32nd St., Newport
Wednesday, September 25 in Brookings at the Best Western Beach Front Inn, 16008 Boat Basin Road, Brookings.
We will present information on and ask for public input on the items forwarded by the Council. For those who cannot attend in person, the presentation materials will be available online and an online survey available beginning on Tuesday, September 24. The ODFW halibut webpage is located at: http://www.dfw.state.or.us/MRP/finfish/halibut/index.asp A reminder will be sent out when the survey becomes available.
