Bartlett Lake is located in the northeast valley only 48 miles from downtown Phoenix and 17 miles northeast of Carefree and is within one hour from most Valley locations. Bartlett Lake is home to many events each year and one of the most popular is the annual “Day On The Lake” hosted by Bartlett Lake Marina and Barrow Neurological Institute. Toward the end of May each year, Barrow Therapeutic Recreation Department sponsors "Day on the Lake" to give individuals with neurological impairments the chance to participate in free water skiing, fishing, kayaking, boat rides and other watersports at Bartlett Lake.

Outdoor enthusiasts frequent Bartlett Lake for a variety of recreational opportunities, including shoreline camping in Arizona's natural desert terrain.
