Colorado River State Park

Become a Wildlife Detective

James M. Robb

August 15, 2013

Put on your thinking caps and bring out your magnifying glasses. It's time to become a wildlife detective! In this family-oriented program, a park naturalist will teach you how to look for signs that wildlife is near. Learn how to determine which animal has been in the area based on track and scat analysis, spotting broken branches and tree rubbings and even creating a shadow over tracks. Participants will also have the opportunity to make a plaster cast of tracks. The program is designed for families so all ages are welcome to attend.
