RAFFLE DRAWING
We drew the raffle tickets on Saturday July 20 at the Pie O Neer here in Pie Town. Brad and Clay conducted the selection. Kathy Knapp drew the winning tickets. We are pleased to announce the winners. I am attaching a couple of pictures. In one, Brad is wearing the jacket and holding the gun. The Dulcimer is on the chair. The last picture is of the poster for the raffle.
We especially want to thank Clay Schumacher for donating the rifle, Kathy and Stanley from the Pie O Neer for donating the jacket and Don Deaett for donating the Dulcimer. We thank Kathy, Stanley and especially, Megan, for organizing and running the dinner dance. All of these things helped Fur and Feather Animal Assistance, Inc. feed and care for our animals last Winter and Spring through June and July.
WINNERS
Byron Labelle won the first prize—the Uberti 45-70 Lever Action Rifle (Sharps 1874 replica) Byron is part of the family that adopted Dusty and Swizzle from us. They also made the trip from Albuquerque on May 4 to attend our fundraising dinner dance. What great supporters.
Mike Rawl won the Dulcimer. Mike owns the Good Pie Café here in Pie Town. When any of you come to Pie Town, stop by at one of our two restaurants and have lunch and a piece of pie. Both places are good supporters for us.
Cole McKinley of Quemado won the jacket. I don’t know Cole, but he is one of the many people that purchased tickets for our raffle.
Congratulations to all three of them!
PURINA We finally got a call from Purina in Flagstaff and they have some food for us. We’ll pick it up this week. We especially want to thank all of you that made generous donations of food to get us through this time. Also, thank you for all the prayers for us to get food and for Laurie to finish her treatments and get healthy again. She is making progress—her tests are good. It will still be months of chemo infusions but Laurie and all of us are encouraged that this will work.
