American Sportfishing Association Asks Anglers For Support

Gordon Robertson, vice president, American Sportfishing Association

Dear Members of the Sportfishing Community:

Please join me and help spread the word about our newest Ambassadors of KeepAmericaFishing™, the American Sportfishing Association's (ASA) angler-advocacy campaign.

Legendary professional anglers from across the country recently gathered at the 2012 International Convention of Allied Sportfishing Trades, better known as ICAST, to show their support for KeepAmericaFishing.

Fishing legends such as Kevin VanDam, Mike Iaconelli, Chris Lane, Shaw Grigsby, Lefty Kreh and Mark Sosin shared what fishing means to them and how supporting KeepAmericaFishing helps ensure that our nation's waters remain open, clean and abundant with fish.

I am asking every member of the fishing industry to help me spread the word about KeepAmericaFishing by sharing these videos with their customers, vendors and partners. Videos are available for use at —

http://www.keepamericafishing.org/ambassadors.html or at

http://www.youtube.com/keepamericafishing.

I encourage you to use these videos on your company Web site, in your e-mail communications and through your social-media campaigns.

Do your part today. Let your customers and associates know that KeepAmericaFishing is working hard on behalf of all anglers — from novice to professional — to support fisheries’ conservation and keep our public waters open to recreational fishing.

Together, we can promote our industry, ensure the future of recreational fishing for generations to come, and keep America fishing.

Gordon Robertson, vice president, American Sportfishing Association
