Western Outdoor Times - Times Spent Outdoors: Priceless!

In 2009 LakeRacer took us back to the early days of Arizona Hot Boats and the Fall Heatwave series poker runs by hosting the Monster Bash Poker Run. It was back to a little smaller and easier going event with a fun theme and costumes encouraged.

In 2010 we again held this late season event and added a Friday Morning Shootout, and 2011 was again a favorite of our long-time participants and bigger than ever!

So here we go again!! Welcome to the 2012 Monster Bash Poker Run on Nov. 1-3. Once again, we’re supporting the Lake Havasu Food Bank as our designated charity so a percentage of the poker run jackpot will be donated, and you are encouraged to make any other donations of non perishable food at the event.

This event is limited in number and size of boats. For boats 35feet and under, with a special invitation to larger boats that have provided special support to our events. We want to encourage those who feel the Desert Storm event no longer accommodates their boat.

Our Title Sponsor Teague Custom Marine plus the Nautical Resort, Nordic Boats, ILMOR, IMCO, Prestige Marine, Pirate Cove Resort and Domn8ter Powerboats have encouraged us to organize this event with their major sponsorships, so make sure and thank them!

This Poker Run is themed for Halloween to make it fun for the whole family. Included in this event is an opportunity for a holiday photo of each boat in front of the London Bridge. These will be included on an event photo CD to be mailed out after the event.

Last year we added an open house and welcome party at Vern Gilbert’s West

Coast Drives facility on Thursday night (Sponsored by Romer Beverage, West Coast Drives, and Lake Havasu Marine Association) and a Friday shootout down at Havasu Springs. These proved so popular we’re doing them again!

In addition, we’re hosting a reception and registration party Friday night on the Nautical Resorts! Then we top off the event with an awards costume party Saturday night in the Nautical Conference Center.

Also, we brought back the Friday Lunch Run to Havasu Springs, reserved only for those who register before Oct. 15, you will receive the special wrist bands by mail in advance.
