WONDERS PROTECTED -- Tatahatso Canyon's towering limestone pillars, first discovered in 2007, were nearly lost forever under the waters of Marble Canyon Dam. The defeat of the Marble Canyon and Bridge Canyon Dams, and the expansion of the Grand Canyon National Park boundaries helped ensure that known and unknown wonders such as these remained protected from development.
