Public Comment Period Extended

Glen Canyon Dam Long-Term Experimental And Management Plan

In response to several requests for an extension, the Department of the Interior, through the Bureau of Reclamation (Reclamation) and the National Park Service (NPS), is extending the public comment period for the Glen Canyon Dam Long-term Experimental and Management Plan (LTEMP) Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS) to May 9. Reclamation and the NPS will accept comments that are received or postmarked by that date.

The LTEMP is a proposed framework for adaptively managing Glen Canyon Dam over the next 20 years with the goal of creating certainty and predictability for power and water users while protecting environmental and cultural resources in Grand Canyon National Park and the Colorado River ecosystem.
