The deadline to submit nominations for the 2015 Arizona Game and Fish Commission Awards has been extended to Friday, Aug. 21.

The purpose of the Commission Awards is to recognize Arizonans who have contributed significantly to the conservation of the state's wildlife, its outdoor heritage, or the mission of the Arizona Game and Fish Department. Nominating someone is a great opportunity to publicly recognize them in one or more of the categories listed at http://azgfdportal.az.gov/agency/commission/awards.

The nominations will be presented to the Arizona Game and Fish Commission for consideration at its September meeting. Those who are selected for an award will receive it at the Jan. 16, 2016 Commission Awards Banquet.
