Arizona's Best-Kept Secret - We Want You To Know What It Is

March 15, 2015

Established by Congress in 1939, the 30,000 members of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary are Semper Paratus "Always Ready."

Vessel safety checks, harbor patrols, safe-boating courses, search and rescue, marine environmental protection - these are just a few of the services provided by the Auxiliary. Each year, Auxiliarists volunteer more than two million hours benefitting boaters and their families. We invite you to learn more about who we are and what we do to be Semper Paratus.

Auxiliarists in Arizona are part of the 11th Southern Coast Guard District. Here in Central Arizona we are known as Division 10. Division 10 has six smaller units called Flotillas. The Flotillas are 10-1 in Tucson, 10-2 in Page at Lake Powell, 10-3 our band flotilla in Central Phoenix, 10-7 Central Phoenix and Glendale, 10-8 East Valley, 10-10 Prescott, and 10-11 Scottsdale, Tempe and Chandler.

For more information go to the Coast Guard Auxiliary national website at http://www.cgaux.org . Our moto is "Honor, Respect, Devotion to Duty."
